Safeguarding Statement
Dignity, authority, data minimisation and appropriate safeguarding routes.
Effective date: 12 July 2026 | Version 2.0
1. Purpose
VitaPing is designed to support dignity, communication and appropriate contact pathways for children, vulnerable adults and people who need additional support. It is not a replacement for professional safeguarding practice, supervision or emergency services.
2. Authority and consent
A parent, legal guardian or authorised representative must have the appropriate authority to create or manage a profile for another person. Participating organisations must use documented enrolment, consent and safeguarding procedures.
3. Data minimisation and visibility
Only information relevant to the emergency purpose should be recorded. The public/helper view must show only the fields approved for that view. Additional access requires an authorised route. VitaPing is not designed for continuous tracking, public medical labelling or behaviour scoring.
4. Organisation duties
Schools, care providers, employers and other participating organisations remain responsible for staff vetting, training, supervision, incident reporting, escalation and compliance with their own safeguarding duties.
5. Reporting a concern
Report a concern about VitaPing access, content or use to contact@vitaping.uk. Where there is immediate danger or a live emergency, call 999 or 112.
